The Roland T-8 Beat Machine is a compact and powerful drum and bass sequencer, combining classic Roland sounds with advanced sequencing and performance features. It offers six drum tracks and one bass track, drawing from the iconic TR-808, TR-909, TR-606, and TB-303. Using Roland’s Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, the T-8 accurately reproduces the sound and behavior of these legendary machines, providing an authentic, vintage feel in a modern, portable package.
The TR-REC step sequencer is at the core of the T-8, allowing you to program up to 64 patterns, each with up to 32 steps. Advanced features like probability, sub steps, last step, and velocity give you even more flexibility and control to create evolving, dynamic grooves.
For live performances, the T-8 offers real-time recording and performance tools, including step loop, mute, fill, reload, and pattern shift, ensuring that your performance can be both creative and responsive. Onboard effects such as delay, reverb, overdrive, and sidechain compression allow for further sound manipulation, all controlled via dedicated knobs for hands-on play.
Connectivity is robust, with audio, MIDI, and sync I/O, as well as AIRA Link for seamless integration with other AIRA devices. The T-8 can also function as a class-compliant USB-C audio/MIDI interface, making it compatible with computer DAWs and other gear without requiring additional drivers.
Designed for portability, the T-8 operates on a lithium-ion battery, offering up to 4.5 hours of continuous use. Its rugged construction makes it ideal for musicians on the go.
