RODE PG2-R Pistol Grip Shock Mount

The RODE PG2-R is a professional pistol grip shock mount designed to reduce handling noise when capturing audio with shotgun microphones in handheld or boom pole-mounted applications. Ideal for film, broadcast, and field recording environments, it ensures high-quality, isolated audio recording even during movement.

At the core of the PG2-R is the Rycote® Lyre® suspension system, which provides superior shock absorption and eliminates the need for elastic bands. The microphone is held firmly in place while vibrations from handling are effectively dampened.

A dual-cable management system is built into the handle, allowing either a single or dual XLR cable to run through the grip cleanly, reducing cable strain and tangling. The integrated strain-relief clip at the base secures your cable connection, while the ergonomic handle ensures comfortable and fatigue-free use during long recording sessions.

The base of the PG2-R also includes a 3/8″ thread, allowing it to be mounted to a boom pole or stand when handheld operation is not required.
